Moodboard 0101 – Moroccan & blue

In my work I mainly design kitchens from scratch but that doesn’t mean I have anything against using a ready-made design. One of my favourite kitchen suppliers is Kvänum. Their selection covers both traditional and contemporary styles, both with a clean yet cosy feel. I used one of their more traditional styles, Vikby and started playing around with the colour options. This dark, smokey blue was a winner since it went so well with grey lamps I wanted to use above the bar. A break from my usual clean, white palette, this exotic, old-fashioned tile brings a bit of cosy warmth. Of course, I had to add a few contemporary touches such as a stainless steel Kohler tap and cool bar stools.
